Mexico 1990 100 pesos

This type was struck 1984-92. The stress of inflation in the 1980's as Mexico squandered her oil bonanza caused many coin types to come and go. Venustiano, a hero of the revolution of 1910-20, also appears on a five pesos of 1959 (KM 471). The circulation coinage of the 1980's is also notable for being the first coinage to feature the denomination in Braille, altho the effect is only symbolic, as the dots are too small to be useful.
