Sincona sale 70, lot 3609

This specimen was lot 3609 in Sincona sale 70 (Zurich, May 2021), where it sold for 400 CHF (about US$527 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"SWITZERLAND | Waadt/Vaud | Kanton. 10 Batzen 1811, Lausanne. PCGS MS62. Prachtvolle Erhaltung. (Switzerland, canton of Vaud, ten batzen of 1811, Lausanne mint. Magnificent condition.)"

This type is listed for 1810-11 and is scarce. A matching twenty batzen exists (KM 16). Forty batzen made a thaler.

Recorded mintage: 2,983.

Specification: silver.
