This specimen was lot 1689 in Sincona sale 82 (Zurich, May 2023), where it sold for 17,000 CHF (about US$22,751 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "William III. and Mary, 1689-1694. 2 Guineas 1694/3, London. Conjoined busts, elephant and castle below, 4 over 3 in date. Selten (Rare). NGC AU58. Second finest certified by NGC." This type was struck 1693-94. This date also comes with no symbol below the bust (Fr-301). All known specimens have the overdate.
