This specimen was lot 3963 in Stack's-Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2015), where it sold for $75. The catalog description[1] noted, "INDIA. East India Company. 1/2 Anna, 1845-C. Bombay Mint. NGC AU-55 BN." This is a product of the Calcutta mint; Madras and Bombay struck this type dated 1835.
Recorded mintage: 17,160,000.
Specification: 12.35 g, copper.
