This specimen was lot 47452 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Chicago, August 2024), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "PERU. Nuevo Sol, 2001. Lima Mint. PCGS MS-64. Plain edge variety." This circulating type is listed for 2001-11. In 1991, the currency was reformed, one nuevo sol = one million intis. Surprisingly enough, the nuevo sol has remained stable against the dollar (US$1 = S/. 2.77, October 2013, US$1 = S/. 3.63, January 2021). This denomination was also used for KM 329, commemorating San Marcos University, and KM 330, commemorating the Numismatic Society of Peru.

Recorded mintage: 10,000,000.
