France 2006 cent rev DSLR.jpg

The specimen shown is an example of a type struck in France. France began minting euros in 1999. The visage of Mademoiselle Liberté shown here also appears on the French two and five cent coins. The low relief makes it difficult to obtain a good photograph.

Recorded mintage: 343,010,009 plus 120,000 proofs.

Specification: 2.27 g., Copper Plated Steel, 16.3 mm diameter. Obv: Mlle Liberté by Fabienne Courtiade; Rev: Denomination and globe by Luc Luycx; Edge: Plain.

Catalog reference: KM 1282, Gad-1
