Hamburg 1650 ducat Fr-1100
This specimen was lot 3683 in Künker sale 264 (Osnabrück, June 2015), where it sold for €1,600 (about US$2,067 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"STADT Dukat 1650. Münzmeister Matthias Freude. GOLD. Prachtexemplar. Winz. Schrötlingsriß, vorzüglich-Stempelglanz. (Germany, city of Hamburg, ducat of 1650. Proof example, die crack on reverse, extremely fine to uncirculated.)"
This type is listed for 1641-67 and is rather scarce for a German ducat of the period.
