This specimen is a common date of a type struck at the Paris mint 1961-64. Struck in large numbers in the early sixties, it was replaced in 1966 with the aluminum bronze Lagriffoul type. As a subdivision of the new franc, it was worth one hundred of the five centimes of the French Third Republic.

Recorded mintage: 126,505,600.

Specification: 3.4 g, stainless steel, 19 mm diameter, plain edge.
