Peru 1836-MT 8 reales

This type was struck at Lima 1828-40 and at Cuzco 1830-35 and is common; the complete span of Peru standing liberty eight reales runs 1825-55. Assayer MT is recorded for the Lima mint 1835-36.
The first example shown was lot 62155 and sold on May 3, 2011 for $138 at the Monthly Internet World Coin Auction #231118 by Heritage Auctions. The catalog description reads: "Republic 8 Reales 1836-MT Lima, AU50 ANACS."
