This specimen was lot 21273 in Heritage sale 3010 (Boston, August 2010), where it sold for $1,725. The catalog description[1] noted, "Provisional Real 1829NG-M, Fine 15 NGC, original toning with clear details, small natural flan flaw on the obverse. Very rare type struck as Estado de Guatemala during the Central American Republic. The SCWC reports only 4 examples known." The SCWC lacks a picture of this very rare type. With the appearance of this specimen we may expect that omission to be remedied.

Recorded mintage: unknown but few.

Specification: 3.38 g, .903 fine silver, .098 troy oz ASW.

Catalog reference: KM 75.
