This specimen was lot 72912 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Santa Ana, CA, May 2017), where it sold for $446.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "POLAND. 10 Groszy, 1831-KG. PCGS MS-62 Secure Holder. Sharply struck, lightly toned and quite attractive." This issue was struck in 1831 while Poland was rebelling against Russian rule (1815-1918). One zloty equaled fifteen kopeks or thirty groszy. Russian coinage for Poland ended in 1850.
Recorded mintage: 6,038,148 plus 4,427,861 of the Tsarist type (KM C113).
