This silver decimo or ten centavo piece was minted in Santiago, Chile, in 1879-1894, in 0.500 fine silver. The series immediately prior (1867-80) was at 0.835 fine silver. All three series show the same obverse and reverse design.

Recorded mintage: 2,186,000.

Specification: 2.5 g, 0.500 fine silver, 0.0401 troy oz ASW.
