Barcelona 1654 ardite rev DSLR.jpg

This ardite was struck in Barcelona 1622-55 and is not listed as expensive in low grade altho hammered coins are very scarce in nice condition. We don't know the Spanish equivalent of this coin but we guess it was worth about one maravedi. The obverse features the arms of Catalonia and the reverse is the bust of Philip IV.

Reported Mintage: unknown.

Specification: copper.

Catalog reference: Cayón no. 5086, KM 21.
