This specimen was lot 2266 in Sincona sale 6 (Zurich, May 2012), where it sold for 800 CHF (about US$984 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SCHWEIZ Sammlung Dr. Charles Froidevaux Aargau 20 Batzen 1809. FDC. (Switzerland, Aargau, twenty batzen of 1809; uncirculated.)"
The canton of Aargau issued a variety of coins during 1808-31, ranging from billon one rappen to a silver four franken of 1812. Forty batzen = four franken = one thaler and ten rappen = one batzen.
Recorded mintage: 14,000.
