This specimen was lot 5053 in Sincona sale 80 (Zurich, October 2022), where it sold for 2,600 CHF (about US$3,116 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "SWITZERLAND | Bern | Stadt und Kanton, Halbdukat 1714, Bern. Rare. Extremely fine." The SCWC notes five different half ducats for the period 1714-19, some of them almost affordable but this one is rare.

Specification: 1.75 g, 0.986 fine gold, this specimen 1.71 g.
