This centimo was struck in Switzerland for Paraguay in 1950, the final date of a three year type. It was accompanied by aluminum bronze five, ten, twenty-five and fifty centimos. The 1953 fifty centimos was the last coin for Paraguay until the 1972 Olympic commemoratives. The peso was dropped in favor of the guarani in 1944.

Recorded mintage: 1,096,000 (common in all grades).
