Stephen Album sale 32, lot 1250

This specimen was lot 1250 in Stephen Album sale 32 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2018), where it sold for $105.75. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY: Weimar Republic, 5 pfennig, 1921-E, couple of small spots, PCGS graded Proof details (environmental damage)." This coin is an iron five pfennig from a type issued 1915-22 from the Berlin (mintmark "A"), Munich (mintmark "D"), Muldenhutten (mintmark "E", shown here), Stuttgart (mintmark "F"), Karlsruhe (mintmark "G") and Hamburg (mintmark "J") mints.

Recorded mintage: 21,104,000, a slightly better date.

Specification: 2.51 g, iron, 17.8 mm diameter.
