This specimen was lot 45521 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Costa Mesa, CA, August 2021), where it sold for $288. The catalog description[1] noted, "NORWAY. 50 Ore, 1909. PCGS MS-65 Gold Shield. A very lustrous Gem with mottled peripheral toning." This type was struck 1909-19 in moderate quantities. Tho not listed as rare, it is seldom seen; this is the first one we have found for the Wiki. Sweden struck a similar coin to the same module until 1939 (KM 788).

Recorded mintage: 200,000.

Specification: 5 g, .600 fine silver.

Catalog reference: KM-374.
