Stack's Bowers 2021 ANA sale, lot 40093

This specimen was lot 40093 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Costa Mesa, CA, August 2021), where it sold for $2,400. The catalog description[1] noted, "BULGARIA. 2 Leva, 1923. Uncertain Mint. NGC MS-66. Conditionally RARE, this blast white Gem displays sharp designs and surfaces that approach pristine. Only one example has been graded finer by NGC." This one year type is not listed as valuable. Its successor, KM 38, of 1925, was copper-nickel.
