This specimen is a fairly common date of a type struck in London and Birmingham (shown here) for Canada 1876-1901. This specimen was lot 34472 in Ponterio sale 177 (Chicago, August 2013), where it sold for $248. The catalog description[1] noted, "CANADA. Cent, 1876-H. PCGS MS-65 RB."
Recorded mintage: 4,000,000.
Specification: bronze, 5.67 grams, 25.4 mm diameter, plain edge.
