This coin is among ten types of one colon piece issued between the reform of the colon in 1920 and the suspension of the colon denomination in 1998. None are rare and this product of the Philadelphia mint is very common. "B.C.C.R." stands for "Banco Central de Costa Rica."

Recorded mintage: 2,000,000.

Specification: 10 g, copper-nickel, 29 mm diameter.
