This specimen was lot 53441 in Stack's Bowers Hong Kong auction (Hong Kong, April 2021), where it sold for $1,080. The catalog description[1] noted, "CHINA. Szechuan. 20 Cash, Year 1 (1912). NGC MS-63. RARE in this state of preservation, the present specimen features a dazzling amount of shimmering luster radiating in the fields." This type was also struck in copper (Y-448).
Recorded mintage: 115,061,000 (all varieties).
