This five centavos was struck for Colombia in Philadelphia, of a type issued 1918-50. This type overlaps the later copper liberty cap type issued 1942-79. The earlier dates were struck at the Philadelphia mint, the later ones in Bogotá, leading to a flurry of repunched date varieties. The 1935 is known from Philadelphia and Bogotá (1935/24).

Recorded mintage: 10,000,000.

Specification: 4 g, copper-nickel, 21 mm diameter.

Catalog reference: KM 199, Restr-368-14 (thin numbers in date).
