This aluminum bronze fifty pesos is from a type struck since 1989 for Chile. The effigy of Bernardo O'Higgins, hero of the struggle for independence, was first used on copper pesos of the 1940's. The SCWC notes that all dates are common.

Recorded mintage: unknown but common.

Specification: 7.00 g, aluminum bronze, 10-sided, 25 mm diameter.
