The specimen shown is an example of a type struck in Stuttgart for Germany. Germany began minting euros in 2002. The Berlin Wall formerly passed through the Brandenburg Gate, which also appears on the German twenty and fifty cent. To this writer's knowledge, Germany is the only country in Europe still operating branch mints; A - Berlin; D - Munich; F - Stuttgart; G - Karlsruhe and J - Hamburg.
