Goldberg sale 67, lot 3807

This specimen was lot 3807 in Goldberg sale 67 (Los Angeles, January 2012), where it sold for $575. The catalog description[1] noted, "Sweden. 20 Kronor, 1887-EB. Oscar II. Head right. Reverse: Crowned arms. NGC graded MS-65." This type was struck in limited numbers 1877-99 but the release of the hoard of the Bank of Sweden in the late nineties made this type common in all grades.

Recorded mintage: 59,000.

Specification: 8.96 g, 0.900 fine gold, .259 troy oz AGW.
