Künker sale 335, lot 3545

This specimen was lot 3545 in Künker sale 335 (Osnabruck, Germany, March 2020), where it sold for €80 (about US$105 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"BAYERN, HERZOGTUM, SEIT 1623 KURFÜRSTENTUM, SEIT 1806 KÖNIGREICH: Maximilian III. Joseph, 1745-1777. 6 Kreuzer 1745, München. Vorzüglich. Exemplar der Auktion Gerhard Hirsch Nachf. 258, München 2008, Nr. 3045. (Germany, electorate of Bavaria, Maximilian III Joseph, 1745-77, six kreuzer of 1745, Munich mint, extremely fine.)"

Two different six kreuzer were issued for Maximilian's first year of rule; this one, issued 1745-52 and 1766-67, and KM 478, issued for his term as vicar of the empire. This type is common.
