This type was struck at Philadelphia 1914 only. It is fairly common in circulated condition and is accompanied by silver five and twenty-five centavos. The first specimen was lot 30713 in Heritage sale 3064 (Chicago, April 2018), where it sold for $780. The catalog description[1] noted, "Republic Proof 10 Centavos 1914 PR65 NGC. An extremely lustrous gem and a true rarity, with a reported mintage of just 20 pieces. Tied with one other example for the finest graded by NGC."

Recorded mintage: 1,500,000 circulation strikes plus 20 proofs.

Specification: 2.5 g, .835 fine silver, .067 troy oz ASW.
