Geneva 1775 6 quarts
This specimen was lot 3384 in Sincona sale 20 (Zürich, October 2014), where it sold for CHF 350 (about US$439 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "6 Quarts (1 Sol 6 Deniers) 1775. FDC. (uncirculated.)" This type was struck 1722, 1750, 1763, 1766, 1766, 1775-76 and is common. The SCWC and Numista erroneously state that these bear a "G" mintmark. Silver strikes exist, made for presentation. One thaler was 96 sols and one sol was four quarts.
