This specimen was lot 1688 in Stacks-Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2015), where it sold for $1,175. The catalog description[1] noted, "SWEDEN. 2 Daler Plate Money, 1728. Fredrik I (1720-51). 6.5 x 7 in. Scarce (Tingstrom: 60 examples known including 15 pieces from the Nicobar). Stamps well applied, but with a bit of unevenness to three of them. The center stamp is nearly complete with faintness on the right hand side, while the corner stamps display four mostly complete full legible dates. Some minor flatting on edge and a few small spots of verdigris. Otherwise, nice medium brown patina. BOLD VERY FINE."
