This specimen was lot 3125 in Sincona Auction 105 (Zürich, May 2026), where it sold for 170 CHF (about US$259 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SCHWEIZ Bern, Stadt und Kanton, Kreuzer 1584, Bern. Sehr selten. Schön-sehr schön. Randausbruch. (Switzerland, canton of Bern, kreuzer of 1584, Bern mint. Very rare, Fine-Very Fine, Edge chipped.)"
This type was struck 1560-70, 1583-84, 1590, 1595-96. The reverse legend, "✥ BERCHT ∙ D ∙ ZERI ∙ CONDI", likely refers to Berthold V, last duke of Zähringen (r. 1186-1218).
Recorded mintage: unknown.
Specification: 1.47 g, billon, 20 mm diameter, this specimen 0.97 g.
