The specimen shown is an example of a type struck in Austria since 2008. Austria began minting euros in 2002. The admission of additional members caused the reverse to be redesigned in 2008 to show the enlarged zone.

Specification: 5.74 g., Brass, 22.25 mm diameter. Obv: gate of the Belvedere Palace in Vienna; Rev: Value at right, relief map of European Union at right by Luc Luycx; Edge: notched.
