This specimen was lot 3812 in Künker sale 406 (Osnabrück, March 2024), where it sold for €3,200 (about US$4,199 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"RÖMISCH-DEUTSCHES REICH, Rudolf II. 1576-1612. Dukat 1580, Prag. Münzmeister Tobias Gebhardt. GOLD. RR Hübsche Goldpatina, kl. Zainende, min. gewellt, fast vorzüglich. (Holy Roman Empire, Rudolf II, 1576-1612, ducat of 1580, Prague mint. Very rare, handsome gold patina, minor clip, slightly wavy, about extremely fine.)"
The second specimen was lot 1937 in SINCONA Auction 97 (Zürich, May 2025), where it sold for 1,700 CHF (about US$2,466 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"RDR / ÖSTERREICH, Rudolf II. 1576-1612. Dukat 1580, Prag. Münzmeister Tobias Gebhart. Selten. Sehr schön. Leicht gewellt. (Holy Roman Empire, Rudolf II, 1576-1612, ducat of 1580, Prague mint. Rare, Very Fine, Slightly wavy flan.)"
This type was struck 1577-86 and is not priced in the SCWC.
