The first specimen was lot 1722 in Sedwick Treasure Auction 27 (Winter Park, FL, May 2020), where it sold for $83.30. The catalog description^[1] noted, "Colombia, copper-nickel papel moneda 1 peso, 1910AM, NGC MS 64, finest and only example in NGC census. Obverse struck with a rusty die, bright rainbow toning all over. NGC #4770572-017." This copper-nickel one peso "papel moneda" was struck in 1907, 1910-16. These coins were issued to retire paper money printed during the civil war of 1899-1903, hence the "p/m" marked on the reverse. (The chaos of that civil war enabled the United States to engineer Panamanian independence.) They later circulated equal to the copper-nickel one centavos of 1918-50 (KM 275). They are today very scarce in nice condition.
