Sincona sale 33, lot 3221

This specimen was lot 3221 in Sincona sale 33 (Zürich, October 2016), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,

"RUMÄNIEN. Carol I. 1866-1914 1 Leu 1900. Hamburg. Vorzüglich-FDC. (Romania, Carol I, 1866-1914, one leu of 1900, Hamburg mint. Extremely fine-uncirculated.)"

This type is noted for 1894 and 1900-01 and is fairly expensive in nice condition.

Recorded mintage: 798,800.

Specification: 5 g, 0.835 fine silver, 23 mm diameter, this specimen 4.96 g.
