Romania 1900-B ban
This specimen was lot 2148 in Künker sale 293 (Osnabrück, Germany, July 2017), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,
"RUMÄNIEN, KÖNIGREICH, Karl I. 1866-1914. Ku.-1 Bani 1900, B, Hamburg. In US-Plastikholder der NGC mit der Bewertung PF 64 RB. Selten in dieser Erhaltung. Herrliche Patina, polierte Platte. (kingdom of Romania, Charles I, 1866-1914, copper one ban of 1900, Hamburg mint, in NGC PF-64RB holder. Scarce in this quality, beautiful toning, polished blank.)"
This type was struck in Hamburg 1900 only to the standard of a French bronze one centime. It is common and the last of its denomination.
