This specimen was lot 4031 in Sincona sale 34 (Zürich, October 2016), where it sold for 375 CHF (about US$445 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"HOLY ROMAN EMPIRE - AUSTRIA. Ferdinand I. 1521-1564 Taler 1549. Joachimsthal Ohne Münzmeisterzeichen. Fast sehr schön. (Holy Roman Empire, Ferdinand I, 1521-64, thaler of 1549, Joachimsthal mint, without mintmaster's initials. About very fine.)"
Davenport notes this thaler for 1548-56. Note the single headed eagle on the reverse, rather than the double headed eagle used later.
Recorded mintage: unknown.
Specification: silver, this specimen 28.45 g.
Catalog reference: Dav-8046; Dietiker 148. Voglh. 49/VII. Donebauer 1178.
