The first specimen was lot 4333 in Goldberg sale 85 (Los Angeles, June 2015), where it sold for $88. The catalog description[1] noted, "Straits Settlements. Cent, 1920. George V. NGC graded MS-64 Red & Brown." This type was struck for the Straits Settlements (now Malaysia and Singapore) 1919-20 and 1926 and is not rare. It and the 1918 two annas of India are among the first non-round coins issued by Western mints.

Recorded mintage: 55,000,000.

Specification: 5.8 g, bronze, 21 mm diameter, plain edge.

Catalog reference: KM-32.
