CNG Triton XXVIII, lot 6364

This specimen was lot 6364 in CNG Triton XXVIII (New York, January 2025), where it sold for $612.50. The catalog description^[1] noted, "GERMANY, German Empire. Preußen (Kingdom). Wilhelm II. Emperor, 1888-1918. AV 20 Mark. Berlin mint. Dated 1902 A. Bare head right / Crowned eagle facing with wings spread, head left; collared coat-of-arms on breast. Bag marks. UNC. From the Drewry Family Collection, purchased from Paul Sims, July 1994." This type, issued 1890-1912, is common and is a product of the Berlin mint. The proofs are rare.
