Isle of Man 1830 1/2 penny token

Stack's Bowers 2024 NYINC sale, lot 57307

This specimen was lot 57307 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2024), where it sold for $168. The catalog description^[1] noted, "ISLE OF MAN. 1/2 Penny Token, 1830. George IV. PCGS AU-50." The bust shown here is one of George III, borrowed from Boulton issues of 1813. This issue accompanied a penny token. Some of the issue had an Arabic numeral 1 and round 3 in the date (KM Tn17).
