This specimen was lot 33303 in Heritage sale 3073 (Chicago, April 2019), where it sold for $660. The catalog description[1] noted, "Nawanagar. Vibhaji 2-1/2 Kori VS 1949 (1892) MS67 NGC. Milled edge. Fully struck with vibrant fields sheathed in a light silver patina. Likely one of the finest examples extant in this spectacular state of preservation. From the Engelen Collection of World Coinage." This type is listed for VS1948-1950 and succeeded other 2½ kori struck VS1945-1947. The rulers of Nawanager were a branch of the Jams of Kutch across the Rann of Kutch.
