This specimen is a zinc one øre issued under King Frederik IX, and was issued 1956-1971, superseding a similar type of 1948-55. The privy mark (for Copenhagen) is shown as a small heart on the reverse, along with C and S, the initials of the mint officials.

Recorded mintage: 21,889,000.

Specification: 1.6 g, zinc, 16 mm diameter.
