This specimen was lot 3905 in Goldberg sale 84 (Los Angeles, January 2015), where it sold for $164.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Canada. Dollar, 1972. Voyageur. Deep rainbow of maroon colors. PCGS graded Specimen 66." This is the last Voyageur dollar struck in silver and it was issued only in collector sets.
Recorded mintage: 2,676,041 plus 405,865 prooflike in nickel and 341,598 in silver.
Specification: 15.64 g, nickel, 32 mm diameter, or 23.33 g, 0.500 fine silver, 36 mm diameter.
