Sincona sale 95, lot 4620

This specimen was lot 4620 in Sincona sale 95 (Zurich, October 2024), where it sold for 250 CHF (about US$347 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"SCHWEIZ Zürich, Stadt und Kanton, Halbbatzen 1527, Zürich. Selten. Fast sehr schön. Exemplar der Slg. Zuberbühler, Auktion SINCONA 16, Zürich, Oktober 2013, Los 6311. Exemplar der Auktion Leu 88, Zürich 2003, Los 1836. (Switzerland, canton of Zürich, half batzen of 1527, Zürich mint. Rare, About Very Fine.)"

This type not listed in the SCWC or Numista. At this time, one thaler was sixty kreuzer or fifteen batzen.
