Sincona sale 63, lot 475

This specimen was lot 475 in Sincona sale 63 (Zurich, June 2020), where it sold for 50 CHF (about US$63 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"DEUTSCHLAND | Nurnberg, City. 4 Kreuzer 1755. Walzenprägung. Mit dem Münzmeisterzeichen I.M.F. (Johann Martin Förster). Prachtexemplar. FDC. (Germany, city of Nurnberg, Cabinet piece, Uncirculated.)"

This date is not listed. Two four kreuzer were struck in this period; KM 310 (two shields on obverse) or KM 317 (one shield divided per pale, shown here).

Recorded mintage: unknown.
