This specimen was lot 1050 in Stephen Album sale 47 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2023), where it sold for $660. The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, "[[Cambodia|CAMBODIA]]: Norodom I, 1860-1904, AE 5 centimes, 1860, a superb quality example! PCGS graded Proof 65 RB, ex Charles W. Lueders III Collection." In 1860, Norodom ordered a series of patterns from Europe (mint not known but likely Paris or Brussels) for a proposed milled coinage which never came off. Silver piastres, [[Cambodia 1860 4 francs|four francs]], [[Cambodia 1860 2 francs|two francs]], [[Cambodia 1860 franc|one francs]], fifty centimes and [[Cambodia 1860 25 centimes|twenty-five centimes]] and bronze ten, five, two and one centimes were prepared, all conforming to French standards.
