This specimen was lot 30760 in Heritage sale 3037 (New York, January 2015), where it sold for $2,115. The catalog description[1] noted, "Gustav III Riksdaler 1790-OL MS64 PCGS, Stockholm mint, Mint-fresh brilliance dominates the eye-appeal on both sides with a near-complete strike that leaves only faint remnants at the edges of the planchet adjustment marks that once traversed the unstruck flan. A very uncommon grade for the type. From The Law Collection." This type was struck 1779-92 and most dates, including this one, are fairly common. A 1790/88 overdate is listed for the year.

Recorded mintage: 636,000.

Specification: 29.25 g, 0.878 fine silver.

Catalog reference: KM 527, Dav-1736.
