This specimen was lot 35334 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Chicago, August 2022), where it sold for $100. The catalog description[1] noted, "CHINA. 10 Yuan, 2006. Lunar Series, Year of the Dog. NGC PROOF-69 Ultra Cameo. Scalloped Edge." The ten yuan issued in 2006 include KM 1664 (silver panda), 1666 and 1668 (bank anniversary), 1670 (World Cup), 1675 (Jinan bank), 1676 (coin and stamp expo), 1684 (Year of the Dog), 1685 (scalloped Year of the Dog, shown here), 1686 (trapezoid Year of the Dog), 1687 (colored Year of the Dog), 1690 (Yue Lu academy), 1691 (Qinghai-Tibet Railway), 1693 (Long March), A1670 (horticultural expo). All are NCLT's.
Recorded mintage: 60,000 proofs.
