This specimen was lot 34639 in Heritage sale 3042 (Long Beach, September 2015), where it sold for $763.75. The catalog description[1] noted, "Republic gold Proof 20000 Pesos Uruguayos 1983-So PR68 Ultra Cameo NGC. A sparkling issue struck to commemorate the proposed visit of the royal Spanish couple with harvest-gold coloration and a very faint haze atop the deeply-mirrored fields."
Recorded mintage: 1,500.
