The specimen shown is one of a series struck 1885-87 at the Lima mint for Peru. There are many varieties and subtypes of this basic design and later issues were emitted 1888-97 and 1914-16. This date is common. Assayers TD are recorded for only this year as well as assayer RD. For 1885 there is no listed overdate but there are many combinations of over-assayers.
